Christ is describing in His sermon how to live in His Kingdom. What is the foundation of His commands? Today He tells us that at the core of His teaching is the command to love. His Kingdom is a Kingdom of love. In our day love seems superficial and trite. Hardly the kind of thing to build a Kingdom on. But the love Christ describes is much deeper and much stronger and His people must understand love the way He does. Sit at the feet of the King who was powerful enough to capture the world, not with violence, but with love.
