Many people, even those with a very loose connection to the church, are familiar with the powerful deeds of Jesus of Nazareth. In fact, if nothing else is known about Him, the stories of His miracles certainly are. But how often do we stop to ask what the purpose of those miracles were? Why did Jesus perform miracles?
