What We Believe

Here at RBC:

We believe that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost. He did this by dying, taking the place of ruined sinners and by rising from the grave in victory over sin and death. The sacrifice He made once for all is effective for all who repent of their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ who is the only Lord and Savior. Those who refuse and reject this salvation, which is offered freely to all without partiality as a gift of grace, are choosing to accept their own judgment and condemnation on their own heads.

We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is one story, inspired by the Holy Spirit in the lives of over 40 authors, telling, explaining, and anticipating the life and work of Jesus of Nazareth.

We believe in the Triune God of the Bible, Who has revealed Himself as being one God in Three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Son took on flesh and was, through the power of the Holy Spirit, born of Mary while she was still a virgin. We believe that the Son of God, who is Jesus of Nazareth, remains forever fully God; supreme, uncreated, and holy, and yet in taking on flesh became also fully man able to be our substitute at Calvary and able to be our representative before the Father in Heaven. Thus, He sits at the right hand of the Father as fully God and fully man.
