So today we have a bottle of soap, we use soap to clean up the dishes, and to wash our hands or when we’re bathing. We use soap everyday, and if you don’t, you really should. I know if I’ve been working out side and I get dirty from doing the yard work or working on the car, I need to wash my hands when I’m done or all of that dirt will get in my food then my food won’t be clean and good anymore, will it? Now if you think for a second, we don’t want dirt on our hands or in our mouths right? If you think about it, the dirt that’s on our hands is a lot like sin, and the soap is a lot like Jesus. We don’t have to wash our hands, but we want to; just like a lot of people do want to know Jesus, but we want to know Him, right? See, using soap everyday is a lot like coming to Jesus and staying with Him, that way we don’t do things that are wrong with our body, and say things that are wrong with our mouth. Being with Him everyday allows us to be more like Him, just like washing our hands allows us to be more clean everyday? We might fall short and sin sometimes, just like we get dirty, but when we use the soap of life and come to Jesus then he will clean us of the things we have done before and keep us clean as we go on in life.
